Carlos Johns-Dávila is a Peruvian American multimedia artist with a background in music composition. His understanding of audio video synthesis has led him to do work displayed in The Guardian, Sundance: New Frontiers, and across theaters and venues spaces around New York. Carlos is the founder of Way Too Far XR which is all about conscious choice art making, meaning his core practice is community centered, educational, and designed with accessibility in mind. He is also a member of Black Heart, a cutting edge worker cooperative creative agency.
Carlos joined PPAC in December 2021 and is now bravely leading a variety of initiatives within our cooperative. We are all especially excited about the immersive, interactive, holographic, and otherwise digitally mind-bending experiential events practice he has architected here. Whether you’re an artist who needs to find a practitioner (with a fully equipped space) or an organization that wants to blow people’s minds with the most cutting edge digital wizardry, let us know how we can leverage our full theatrical lighting grid, our on-site short throw projectors, and our community’s professional digital creatives to give your vision a bold, futuristic, and humane voice.
